The experience at The Strand Theater is unmatched. Going to their movie nights with $5 tickets and $1 concessions is unmatched in the area. The staff are VERY welcoming and make you feel like you belong. The interior has been restored greatly. Which not only gives you a great acoustic experience, but there is not one bad seat in the house. I suggest this theater to anyone, near and far, for a one of a kind experience or just a great little date night with the significant other!
I saw a Kanye West concert here several years ago and it was an unforgettable experience. It was great having the biggest minds of our decades within feet you, the fans. Amazing venue, would definitely recommend.

The Strand is a one of a kind theater. The entire business is ran by volunteers who are more than kind. You can tell everyone who volunteers here truely loves the place. The way the theater is setup is very different from your average Joe movie theater, which gives it a legacy feel you just can't find anymore. I would recommend anyone and everyone come watch a few films here to support this wonderful business. I love it!
Its an old time theater and has a great history! The show films here every weekend and have other fun events. I was there this past weekend to watch the Oscars and it was such a fun experience, something I don't get to do everyday. (They had a little viewing party)
